We have a CD in the car that plays children rhymes. It took me quite a while to find one that pronounces words properly, such as saying “children” and not “chewren”.
Anyway, there’s a song called “Five Green & Speckled Frogs“. The boy and I have never heard of this rhyme before but after listening to it about 10,000 times, we can sing it now.
Or so we think.
Earlier today, I heard him sing to the little one:
“Mister Inspector frogs, lalalalala, eating the most delicious bugs, YUM YUM!”
Me: Eh b, it’s not Mister Inspector frogs. It’s “two green and speckled frogs“!
Wahahahahaha. It made me laugh. Not that the little man minded anyway. Besides, Mister Inspector frogs sound plausible as well.
