This is my mum, Elliott’s Por Por. She’s the one who saves my sanity on days where I cannot function properly as a mother. She’d whisk him off and take good care of him until I’m ready again (that usually means a much-needed nap). I know that her back aches and her arms are hurting from carrying this little one that is growing faster than one can blink but she never stops carrying him. This is despite her telling us not to carry him “too much”. Hur hur.
Even on days when she’s exhausted, she’d still say: Come, I help take care of Elliott.
A mother’s love knows no boundaries indeed.
