miss ene eats: Omakase Burger

I dreamt of a fat juicy burger last night so decided that for lunch on Christmas Day, I would like to sink my teeth into a damn good burger. The boy suggested McDonald’s. I hope he was kidding. Pfffft.

We walked past Omakase Burger previously when we went to check out Turf City but were too full from a heavy breakfast to try their burgers. Read a couple of reviews online about their ‘juicy burgers’ so decided that lunch will be at Omakase Burger! Was a little concerned that they may be closed on Christmas Day but when we rocked up to it, it was open and best of all, there was ample seating space and no queue to order. Woohoo!

I wanted the Ultimate cheeseburger but decided not to be greedy and went with the Deluxe cheeseburger. The boy originally wanted a chicken burger but I pfffffft at him and said I’d get you a Bacon cheeseburger. Who goes to a proper burger joint and orders a chicken burger unless one doesn’t eat beef, right?! I also ordered a side of onion rings and he wanted a root beer float. You can check out the menu here.

Burgers, onion rings and root beer. Absolute food decadence FTW!

The burgers are definitely small as compared to typical burgers you get at restaurants but it was just nice for me. You do have the option of “upsizing” your burgers though – just add $5.95. Size aside, these were definitely juicy! In fact, it was so juicy, quite a bit of juice collected at the end of the paper that held the burger. The onion rings were pretty good too.

We both had (very) happy bellies when we were done. Will probably return when we get another wanna-have-burger- now attack.
