miss ene eats: Ippudo at Mohamed Sultan is pet-friendly!

We are always on the lookout for pet-friendly dining places so that we can take Moon with us whenever we dine out. Found out recently that Ippudo SG along Mohamed Sultan Road is pet-friendly! We  have always gone to their store at Mandarin Gallery for ramen (I LURVE their ramen!) and usually forget that they have other outlets. Decided to check out the Mohamed Sultan store over the weekend. I called them to make a reservation and informed them that I have 2 adults and 1 dog and requested for an outdoor table. The person who answered my call was polite and repeated my reservation, including “2 adults and 1 dog, outdoor table”. That’s a good sign. Sometimes, I have rung so-called pet-friendly places to make a table reservation and they sound so reluctant whenever I mention that we are taking a dog along. Pfffft.

Anyway.

We parked at UE Square and took a short walk to the restaurant. Our reservation was for a Sunday evening at 7pm and when we got there, quite a few outdoor tables were filled but we got a nice table.

Moon sat at our feet quietly throughout dinner and no one batted an eyelid. Very good! I have to add that the spaces between each outdoor table were generous such that you can’t hear the next table’s conversation. However, if you have a large breed dog (e.g Labrador, Golden Retriever, etc), it might be a bit of a squeeze. Probably more suited for smaller breed dogs.

The meal above came up to about $80+ which wasn’t the cheapest ramen meal but we keep going back to Ippudo for ramen because the noodles are cooked perfectly (al dente) and the broth! Mmmmmm…….

After a very happy meal, we decided to take a nice slow stroll towards The Central to get ice-cream so that we can sit by the river and enjoy the night view.
