This is the way we snooze

While doing research on the type of kibble to feed Moon, I stumbled upon this blog titled ‘Happy Bark Days‘ which tells about the adventures of a cute lil’ red toy poodle called Little Miss Red Maple Leaf. The latest entry talks about how Miss Maple uses the concrete wall as a support when sleeping. Her sleeping position reminds me of Moon who goes into similar contortionist-like positions when napping.

Like now.

It is a very hot afternoon on Hari Raya Haji (public holiday – yeay!) and what else is there to do except to snooze?

She has a bed (which you can see in the background of the picture) but obviously, prefers the cold floor to her bed. It is probably a lot cooler to be lying on the floor at this time of the day though. I do notice that she’d only lie in her bed at night when the weather gets more bearable. I find it hilarious how she has her back legs spread wide open.

Ka kui kui (‘legs wide open’ in Hokkien) and utterly unladylike.

And she wasn’t the only one snoozing.

The poor boy had a bout of stomach flu and was woozy from all the meds. He should be better after a good rest and medication. Remember the picture he snapped of me napping? Hur hur.

Feel better soon!

  1. Hello! We’re so pleased to meet Moon and her little buddy Domo, both of whom are such cutie pies. It looks like the pose Moon is striking in the last picture is quite a popular one—Maple knows it very well, too! Thanks for sharing šŸ˜€

  2. Hello there! Miss Maple is ADORABLE šŸ™‚ Moon loves to ‘rest’ her 4 legs against our sofa for support when she sleeps and is doing it as I’m writing this. I wonder if there’s any specific reason why dogs do it. Hmm….
